Raised in a very loving family, Michael Ravanelli knows the importance of capturing milestones and beautiful family moments. With a bright studio in downtown Old Greenwich, he will make your session unique, relaxed, enjoyable, and fun, so much so, that even the dads will love it! He treats every session differently, based on the unique needs and wants of the family that he is shooting. He works with your needs to create beautiful images. Ravanelli Photography specializes in creating breathtaking, museum quality artwork from your images. From small fine art prints, albums, and large canvases- there is everything you can possibly want.
Michael took our “PORCHtraits” during Covid. As you know, we have a crazy family, with no attention span. I came out of the session thinking “no freaking way he got ANY good photos.” The boys were crazy, Siena was grumpy… ya know, a typical day. Well, he not only got the photos back to us in record time, but they were AMAZING! I seriously didn’t even remember a moment where we were all smiling, or looking semi-normal all at once, but he got the shots!
Michael is so generous, and his kids and our kids attend the same local Elementary School. He did an amazing Santa photoshoot during our Winter Wonderland, and was so fantastic with all of the kids (and us crazy parents). He also works with many local (and not so local) magazines, and has worked with my sister a lot who heads Ridgefield Moms. The pictures he takes for her are magical. He has a way with kids, and has even captured an amazing shot of a cousin photoshoot which A LOT of kids, all different ages. The outtake was amazing, and again had me in awe at the fact that he was able to get that shot, with that many crazy kids.
Michael is full of heart. He saw and took to heart how devastating these past few months have been on High School seniors. So he came up with the “Senior High School Project”. This is what Michael had to say about it:
“So, here I am with a new idea, and a new project… I was approached by a group of 5 local mothers, very sweet and honest. They were struggling financially during these hard times, and asked me for help. They just had their daughters graduate from high school, and with quarantine in place and all graduations being suspended, they didn’t really have a way to celebrate and preserve this wonderful milestone that their daughters had achieved. These were 5 close friends that all grew up together. They shared laughs, tears, fights, and many many memories. They have been inseparable since Elementary School and they were just devastated at how they were forced to isolate and close this chapter of their lives.
So I stepped in and helped them! During a 1 hour photo shoot I captured amazing photographs of these 5 friends, and pictures that they will share and cherish forever. They asked to stay anonymous as I decided to create this project to help others that may be going through the same thing. So, here it is:
If you have a senior graduate, or know of somebody that wasn’t able to celebrate the way that they would have, now is their opportunity. I created this project to help, so for a very low fee, they will have a custom session to capture some senior photographs to help them close this amazing chapter of their lives in grand style!”
